Fellowships and Research
In a given year, MOT awards over 20 graduate fellowships to MOT students,
including paid internships in Silicon Valley, a 10-14 day study trip to
China, and research fellowships on campus.
Industries of Interest
The Management of Technology Program at UC Berkeley focuses heavily, though
not exclusively, on three industries of interest in the local San Francisco
Bay Area: Electronics, Software, and Biotechnology. Each MOT Core Course focuses at least one class session on each of these industries. MOT Related
Courses and special seminars allow students to delve more deeply into industries
of interest. A student initiated course in technology trends routinely
meets with speakers from the software, electronics, and telecommunications
industries, including both established firms and start-ups, to speak on
current topics of interest.
Part of our success is the tremendous support MOT gets from major technology companies here and abroad, since these companies see MOT as the best training ground in the US for recruits. These companies include Microsoft, Intel, Cisco, HP, Hitachi, NEC, IBM and many others, plus all of the top venture capital firms in Silicon Valley.
