Jon Pittman is a lecturer at the Haas School of Business and Vice President of Market Development for Autodesk, the world’s leading design software company. Autodesk serves industries where design is critical to success - building, manufacturing, infrastructure, and digital media. Autodesk provides solutions for sustainable design, digital prototyping, and the creation of visual media. Pittman is responsible for enhancing Autodesk’s business with strategic programs to develop emerging markets and enhance profitable growth. With over 25 years of experience in the computer-aided design, computer graphics, and internet industries, Pittman has held a variety of business development, product development, and strategy positions at Autodesk, Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC), Alias|Wavefront, and Hellmuth, Obata, and Kassabaum (HOK) Architects. In addition to the work in the corporate world, Pittman has been an Assistant Professor at Cornell University's Program of Computer Graphics and an instructor in user interface design at Art Center College of Design. He has published numerous articles and is a frequent public speaker. Mr. Pittman represents Autodesk on the Industry Advisory Board of Stanford University’s Center for Integrated Facility Management and the Board of Councilors of the China/US Center for Sustainable Development. Mr. Pittman holds a Bachelor of Architecture and MBA from the University of Cincinnati. He also holds a M.S. in Computer Graphics from Cornell University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Design Futures Council, and the Urban Land Institute. He is a licensed architect and commercial pilot. MOT Course(s): |
