Jihong Sanderson is the Founder and Executive Director of the Center for Chinese & American Strategic Cooperation at UC Berkeley, promoting high level (government and business leaders) cooperation between China and US. She is a faculty member at Haas School of Business, teaching the graduate course “MOT-Doing Business in China” and directs the UC Berkeley MOT/CRC China Fellowship Program since 2003. Sanderson focuses her research on management of technology, innovation, IP and Globalization strategy in emerging market China. Sanderson is the author of “Next Step - the Path Options of Chinese Firms Going Global”, CITIC Publishing House, 2006; and the author of “Doing Business in China” (DK Essential Managers), Dorling Kindersley, Sept, 2008. In addition, Sanderson teaches at numerous high level government training programs as well as C-level executive training programs in China. Before teaching at UC Berkeley, Sanderson had more than 18 years successful professional experience working as an investment banker, a tech joint venture general manager, a conglomerate senior executive, and a management consultant both in China and in the US. Currently, Sanderson is also a global strategic consultant and president of BCA Consulting, helping foreign investors and MNCs initiate and optimize their businesses in China, and helping Chinese firms go global.
