Technology company recruiters rank UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business the #2 MBA program in the country, according to the September 17, 2003, Wall Street Journal.

"UC Berkeley's Haas School very much reflects its location near Silicon Valley with its strong emphasis on entrepreneurship and technology. In the Wall Street Journal/Harris Interactive survey, it was the #2 MBA program among recruiters from technology companies. Indeed, even after the technology industry slump, 20% of the class of 2002 managed to find computer and internet-related jobs."

The Management of Technology Program (MOT) at UC Berkeley is the joint program of the Haas School of Business, the College of Engineering, and the School of Information Management and Systems.

As such, MOT is responsible for providing a technology-intensive educational experience to those MBAs who plan to work in Technology companies following graduation. The MOT Program works closely with technology companies both in Silicon Valley and elsewhere, initiating internships and student research programs. MOT courses bring together MBA students with graduate Engineering and Information Management students, working together on projects at Berkeley and at technology companies.
