This is a Core Course of the MOT program.

This course is concerned with business strategy for industries heavily involved with information and communications technology.

We are concerned with factors that are particularly important for such industries, such as: economies of scale, network effects, switching costs, complementarities, intellectual property, standardization, government policy and other strategic issues.

The course will be of interest to students expecting to develop and market new computing and communications products and services in a multi-vendor environment, as well as those expecting to manage such organizations.
