The Management of Technology Program Banner
There are a number of student organizations on both sides of the campus with interests in technology management. The Haas Technology Club educates students about new technologies and hosts recruiting events or "firm nights" that provide opportunities for students to meet with representatives of local high tech companies. Partners in Entrepreneurial Leadership (PEL), also at the Haas School, provides opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs and managers to work with company executives on high-profile projects such as developing new business plans, finding new markets and distribution channels, or improving systems. Student initiated courses include the highly popular Technology Trends course that hosts speakers from Silicon Valley.

In the College of Engineering, VERTEX is the Engineering Entrepreneurial club that fosters entrepreneurial opportunities within the College of Engineering through various social, educational, and career-oriented activities. VERTEX promotes entrepreneurial collaboration. This is achieved through activities such as biweekly lunches, discussion groups, and mixers. The objectives of the Black Graduate Engineering and Science Student Association (BGESS) are to recruit new graduate students of African Heritage; to provide them with support while they complete the requirements for Masters and Doctoral degrees, and to influence departments and programs of Engineering, Natural, and Physical Sciences toward the awarding of tenured faculty positions to outstanding professionals of African Heritage. The College of Engineering also has Women in Computer Science and Engineering (WICSE) which is an organization for all women graduate students in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
