The MOT program prides itself on maintaining strong connections to the rich technology resources here in the San Francisco Bay Area. MOT also has a long tradition of close ties with companies based in all of the technology centers of Asia.

MOT's mission is to:

Create opportunities for students in technology fields to work together as part of their academic experience;

Develop partnerships and internships with industry and support interdisciplinary research and study in high tech businesses;

Lead collaborative work between UC Berkeley and technology companies in Silicon Valley and internationally.
