Every summer, 20 - 30 UC Berkeley MOT students travel to Asia, Africa and Latin America. The Mission: Apply innovative technologies to the problems of developing countries.
Developing countries face numerous obstacles as they strive for modernization. Economic development is strongly dependent on international as well as local resources, policies, and investment to avoid marginalization in an increasingly global economy. The goal of the MOT International Research Program is to accelerate the exchange of ideas and technologies that create beneficial partnerships between industrialized countries and developing regions.
