The MOT Program seeks to address a number of technology management challenges. We define Management of Technology as the set of activities associated with bringing high technology products to the marketplace. There is no such thing as a low-tech industry anymore. If you are planning a career in any industry, you need a good grounding in how technology management differs from traditional methods. MOT focuses on the operational and organizational issues associated with managing new product development and commercialization.
UC Berkeley's Management of Technology Program is the largest of its type at any university in the world. Each year there are nearly 1,500 graduate student enrollees in MOT classes.
